Duties and Responsibilities:
- Must provide technical leadership and Architectural design for best in class implementation across different infrastructure (example AWS cloud, VMware within Datacenter, and customer premise deployments).
- Must ensure secure deployments and enforce patch update management or document a program for maintaining the standards.
- Must provide technical / architecture documentation relating the infrastructure (systems) as well as the data collection and management aspects of each tool.
- Must be able to lead a team regarding implementation and provide next steps as well as reporting related to deployment, maintenance and integration.
- Must identify capacity / scale, licensing and strategies and ensure proper growth of NMS systems
- Must maintain vendor relationships and assist with driving new developments and bug fixes.
- Must be able to provide architecture direction related to event management, severity, and ingestion to ticketing systems to include in depth documentation and schematics.
- Must be ready and willing to take on new technology and systems related to system, application, IoT, and network forensics.
- Must have a Senior level understanding of Networking and computer infrastructure.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time remote position. Current days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM ET United States day.
Requirements:
- Preferred 10 years of experience designing and maintaining tools systems used to monitor and capture network, applications, and infrastructure health state and forensic data.
- Must be familiar with implementation and deployment of the common platforms used to collect and display the data gathered from tools such as: LogicMonitor, Solarwinds, Zabbix, Splunk, ELK, Zenoss.
- Must have experience with asset management, discovery, and audit tools such as LanSweeper and Qualys.
- Preferred to have an understanding of application monitoring and internet health tools such as ThousandEyes Dynatrace and DataDog.
- Must have a solid understanding of API interface connections between platforms, appliances and datastores.
- Must have experience with Security Event and Incident Management (SEIM) – LAN taps, alert filtering and management.
- Must have a good understanding of presentation and reporting on each system.
